TBDP S3:E4 Melanin In Medicine with Dermatologist Monee Thomas The Black Doctors Podcast

    • Medicine

This week we listen and learn from Dermatologist Dr. Moneé Thomas, my fellow Howard University College of Medicine Alumni. I have received quite a few requests to feature a Dermatologist and I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with my friend and colleague. In this episode, Dr. Thomas talks about a normal day at her busy practice. She highlights key steps that medical students need to take in order to match into this incredibly selective specialty. Dr. Thomas talks about life outside of medicine and different side-hustles she is currently building, including her own skincare product line. I especially enjoyed hearing the back story of her incredibly entertaining podcast: Melanin and Murder (@MelaninAndMurderPod). Are you interested in pursuing an extremely selective specialty? Are you considering attending an HBCU for college or graduate school? Are you a true-crime junky? If so, then this episode is definitely for you! Please check it out and share with someone interested in careers in healthcare. TBDP is a volunteer passion project with the goal of inspiring all who listen. In-house music and audio production, so any ideas for improvements or suggestions for future guests are welcome. If you are thinking about starting your own podcast, check out my 30 Minutes To Podcast masterclass on my website www.StevenBradley, MD.com --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/blackdoctorspodcast/messageSupport this podcast: https://anchor.fm/blackdoctorspodcast/support
