Ep14 | Jamel Clark Move the District

    • Fitness

Today, I am joined by my friend, Jamel Clark!  Jamel is the regional manager for Elevate Interval Fitness and also personal trainer for them.  Jamel’s career in fitness began as an amateur bodybuilder almost 13 years ago. Although he loved the sport and was able to build the physique he has today, he also developed a desire to increase his mobility and add more function to his training.
So Jamel shifted his focus to a training style that combined hypertrophy and explosive training. In 2011, he further expanded his training repertoire with the addition of HIIT. This blend allowed him to “Intensify His Athleticism.”
Topics discussed:

* Jamel's early days of wrestling and how this instilled a life of fitness for him
* From strict bodybuilding to being in the Middle East
* Jamel's leap of faith into leaving the corporate world to becoming a personal trainer
* The process of figuring out your worth to your clients
* How Jamel appeals to the experienced fitness client and the newer clients
* The human nature of people sticking to their strengths in fitness
