089 | Photojournalist Walter Astrada Teaches You Important Life Lessons From Years Of Exploring The World On A Motorcycle Firebuilders LIVE

    • Self-Improvement

I’m very excited to have Walter Astrada on today’s episode of Firebuilders LIVE! He is going to TEACH YOU the most important lessons from years of living and working from the road.

Recipient of 3 World Press Photo awards, ‘Photojournalist of the Year’, the Bayeux-Calvados award for War Correspondents, among many, many others, Walter Astrada is a photographer for news agencies covering conflicts and creating long term documentaries on social issues. He’s lived all over the world, including Bolivia, Argentina, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Uganda and Eastern Africa. But the last few years have been truly special.

For the last 5 years, he has decided to continue seeing the world, in a literal sense. Loading his 2012 Royal Enfield ‘Athena’ with the minimum necessary things with the idea of going around the world, observation continues to be his life...along with recording what he sees through the lens. The objective? The possibility of stopping or continuing, guided by a strong curiosity, without time tables or timelines. Working and traveling in this way provides Walter the time to comprehend what he observes.

Tune in and listen to Walter’s advice today. When we say we like to travel, what we’re really saying is that we want to connect, in some small way, to a world that lays out there waiting. Walter is not only doing it right, but he’s capturing the experiences and freezing them in time. I can’t think of a better way to explore, then gather, the life lessons for which we’re all thirsty.
