Time can become your friend and start to work for you. Today we will talk to you about the power of a 10% return. What can a one-time investment of $100,000 plus your annual IRA contributions mean to you in the next 5 - 20 years? Starting with a $100,000 investment at 8% return, within five years you'll have $240,000 in your account which translates to about $24,000 a year in addition to social security income. Within 10 years, it's gonna be $440,000 which means an extra $44,000 a year. So if you're 60 years old, and you start today, by the time you're 70 years old, using this, you can get up to an extra $44,000 a year by the age of 70 in addition to your Social Security, and your other investments. Within 15 years, that's going to grow to nearly $790,000, so almost $80,000 a year of income. And within 20 years it will be $135,000 a year generated by your initial $100,000 investment plus your annual IRA contributions.
