This Movie Better Open At $200 Million‪!‬ Warp Five: A Star Trek Enterprise Podcast

Recasting ENTERPRISE for the Big Screen!

Mike Morrison, co-host of Meta Treks and Associate Producer for Warp Five, threw down the gauntlet to your intrepid Warp Five team. Inspired by To The Journey episode #103 and Meta Treks episode #3, Mike challenged your beloved Team Conference Room with continuing the amazingly fun and, at times, frustrating challenge of recasting Enterprise for a "J.J. Abrams style" major motion picture reboot. And yes, for all of you Boomers out there, trying to recast our beloved NX-01 main crew and a few secondary characters was truly enlightening.

The Rules of Engagement that were previously established in To The Journey and Meta Treks required us to cast our choices very specifically. We had to find actors, not impressionists, who embodied both the physical and spiritual attributes of their television counterparts. The best example of this is how Karl Urban so brilliantly re-interpreted Dr. McCoy his 2009 and 2013 performances. So please join us in The Conference Room and maybe you will create a list of your very own that you can share with us via e-mail, voicemail or on The Babel Conference. Enjoy!
