Matt’s runDisney and extended family trip

Matt’s runDisney and extended family trip

Matt’s late February trip to Disney World that included Princess weekend for runDisney was “amazing, beautiful weather, mix of family and friends, and a mix of ‘go’ and ‘hold back.’” Listen as he shares about new experiences and seeing familiar attractions through his 4-year-old daughter’s eyes.

    Financials:
Hotel $4700 (with 40% cast member friend and family discount)
    Flight: $950
Rental Car: $450 (includes car seat rental)
    Food: approximate $700

Matt redeemed Disney Visa points to help offset the cost of the hotel, and used gift cards that he accumulated to help with meals and souvenirs. The costs above are totals before discounts. Actual out-of-pocket dollars spent for food and hotel were less because of the discounted gift cards.

My go to Disney podcast

I will still give this podcast a 5 but sometimes the short delay that happens between each guest sentence is frustrating to listen to. It doesn’t always happen but it was very noticeable on Matt’s RunDisney podcast.

Best Disney podcast for trip planning

I have been listening to Shannon since the before times and absolutely fell in love with her trip reports. They are my favorite part. A few years ago I went back and listened to all the past trip reports and now cannot wait for a new episode to release on Tuesdays. I get super excited when they are extra long (2.5 to 3.5 hrs) because I listen to and from work. They help me to pass the time and I have gained so much planning knowledge that I have put to good use in several of my recent trips. Thank you WDW Prep and Shannon!!

Best trip reports

Give me a 3 hour trip report and I am completely in. Full disclaimer, I usually don’t listen to the non-trip report episodes.
