Joe Jamison has big shoes to fill as new coach at Ursinus Short Time Wrestling Podcast

    • Wrestling

After 38 years, a new man will be leading Ursinus College into battle next season. Longtime coach Bill Racich passed away at the beginning of last season and Josh Mangle stepped in as the interim coach to close out the season. The 2019-20 season will begin with King's College alum and longtime Princeton assistant Joe Jamison taking the helm. Jamison had been coaching with the Princeton Wrestling Club after a run as an assistant at the Division I program in New Jersey.

Jamison talks about what it'll be like replacing a stellar person in the late Bill Racich, the program's goals, his journey through Division III as an athlete who battled injuries and how a two-year Division III starter ended up on a Division I coaching staff before landing the head job at Ursinus.
