Dissecting the D3: The Mighty Ducks novelization, including the debut of ‘Gary Goldberg‪’‬ The Quack Attack: The DEFINITIVE Mighty Ducks Podcast

    • TV & Film

Mike and Kevin tackle the D3 novelization while Tommy celebrates his anniversary (allegedly). In the book they meet 'Gary Goldberg', find Charlie to be even worse than before, and ponder if anything was going on between Mendoza and Julie 'The Cat' Gaffney.

Show Notes

If you missed our interview with Ryan Wotherspoon, listen to it here.

Our D1 novelization came in Episode 152. D2 came in Episode 153.

You can read all the novelizations at queertet.net.

No junior varsity championship banners up there:

The description of the protest from the novel: "They came upon a group of students marching in a small circle and carrying signs and chanting. One of the signs showed an Indian warrior with a red circle and slash through it."

It doesn't appear that the woman Luis tried to woo at the protest was Linda Chavez.  UPDATE: Quackolye Keri, who actually has the book said it was indeed Linda that Luis hit on. The novel apparently came with screen caps, in which Linda is holding the sign.

Charlie and Linda Chavez:

Goldberg's plate:

Duck call to the real Blake Bears hockey team.

Hans dropping the C's on Charlie. Fortunately in the documentary he didn't have to spell it out as much.

Thanks to @chefwayneface for the #QuackQuestion:

My question, why was it so dark in the Eden Hall Arena? You'd think a fancy prep school could afford proper lighting for their rink.

We talked with Rob Lieberman in Episode 137.

The lights in the Eden Hall arena apparently were still warming up for the showdown:

We did not account for the weird shadows during the Blake Bears game. Although it was bright at times during that game too, so *shrug emoji*.
