I can’t believe that in just 2 weeks, the Hot & Delicious: Rocks The Planet! podcast is going to hit 100 episodes and in fact in 2 weeks, from Friday 21st October to Sunday 30 October, Sydney Craft Beer Week, Sydney’s largest celebration of craft beer is back for its sixth year. Co-incidence?
I am a mad craft beer fan and so this week, I reached out to a friend of mine, Sydney Craft Beer Week General Manager Yvette Myhill, about having both her and Festival Director Joel Connolly join us as guests on the Hot & Delicious: Rocks The Planet! podcast to chat about the impact that Sydney Craft Beer Week is having on the way Australians consider their beer choices and the 137 Sydney Craft Beer Week events happening at 80 different venues all around harbour town in October.
On today’s podcast we announce the Sydney Craft Beer Week App iTunes and Google Play launch, tease the Frankie’s + The Grifter Brew Co + Sydney Craft Beer Week collaboration to create the official #SCBW2016 beer, we discuss the amazing growth of Sydney’s craft beer scene over the past 5-10 years, the sense of community & culture it brings, Joel’s journey across the USA discovering the wonders of craft beer in America a few years back, our favourite IPAs and so much more.
Sydney Craft Beer Week 2016 kicks off on Friday October 21st with 2 x Gala Openings on both the Friday night and Saturday afternoon at Giant Dwarf Theatre in Redfern, featuring 19 brewers and a range of fantastic craft brewer creations that will be tried for the very first time!
