I am deeply humbled and incredibly honoured to be joined by the President/CEO of Mohawk College and Mohawk College Foundation – RON MCKERLIE! Anyone who truly knows me; knows that I take nothing lightly nor for granted. President McKerlie personally called me this past August to graciously inform me, and to kindly congratulate me on the wonderfully surprising news, that I was the recipient of the Mohawk College 2020 Alumni Distinction Award. JUST WOW!!! I have invited President McKerlie to be my welcomed guest on the Living Fearlessly with Lisa McDonald radio/podcast show! I am eager to publicly express my immense gratitude to both President McKerlie and to the Alumni, in addition to discussing some of my favourite subject matters…ENTREPRENEURSHIP, MENTORSHIP, LEADERSHIP, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST…MOHAWK COLLEGE and how my cumulative experiences at the College have transformatively shaped the trajectory of my entire life! Previously Ron served 10 years in the Ontario Public Service as Deputy Minister Open Government, Interim President of Ornge Air Ambulance, Deputy Minister, Government Services and, Corporate CIO and Chief Strategist for Ontario. Prior to joining the Ontario Public Service, Ron’s career spanned 25 years in the private sector where he held senior executive positions with Rogers Communications and Bank of Montreal. Ron holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Dalhousie University, an ICD.D designation from Rotman, is a Fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program. Mr. McKerlie is a member of the Board of Directors for ORION and former Chair of the Board for World Vision Canada.Uplifting you to fear less and to live more!
