Talking Washington State and the future of the Pac-2 with Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com
In this episode of the Podcast of Champions hosts Ryan Abraham and David Woods are in studio and joined remotely by the Washington State football expert Jamey Vinnick from Cougfan.com, talking about the state of the Cougars athletic programs as WSU and partner OSU head into uncharted territory.
With the breakup of the Conference of Champions, Oregon State and Washington State were left trying to put the pieces back together, forming a two-team conference under the Pac-12 banner during the two year NCAA grace period. Over the next 24 months OSU and WSU will try and rebuild the Pac-12 into at least an eight team conference and work their way towards the future equivalence of "Power Five" status.
We talk to Jamey about everything that has been going on up in Pullman during this off-season, the latest news and notes from spring practice and the 2024 football schedule with a heavy dose of Mountain West opponents.
They also discuss the opening of the NCAA Transfer Portal this week, basketball coach Kyle Smith heading to Stanford, athletic director Pat Chun going to hated Washington and lots more.
As usual Ryan and Dave end the podcast answering listener emails and questions from the YouTube chat.

The War Chest of the Pac-2 will at least be healthy thanks to the recently signed settlement between OSU and WSU and the departing 10 members, giving them $65 million and assurances that the Pac-2 can remain a conference for the next two years.
They also discuss how Oregon State has looked this spring, the reported TV deal with the CW, players hitting the transfer portal and lots more.

Customer Reviews
I stole another phone for this
Yes you read that correctly. I have hijacked another phone in order to write my 6th five star review.
5 stars for ebing cowards, degenerates and disappearing for multiple weeks; leaving me frustrated with a silly basketball recording. 5 stars for doing literally nothing. That’s what all of expect from this podcast. I was there when the WavidDoods bit began. I was there to receive your blessings upon me stating my value as two times that of a WestTexasMike. I now know your value. Both of you. You disgust me. Both of you.
Review
Hark, esteemed David and Ryan, In pondering the standing of this podcast 'mongst its peers, I have discerned it to embody mediocrity. It is akin to the UCLA football of podcasts. Is it entertaining, you might ask? Indeed, it is. 'Twixt Ryan's tales of revelry and David's musings on the profundity of communism, there lies much amusement. Like unto UCLA football, this podcast is not a "sleeping giant," nor a giant at all. Yet, it exists within the industry, and that must count for something. In this age of participation trophies, I bestow upon you, David Woods and Ryan Abraham, the participation trophy for college football podcasts. I beseech Mr. Woods to share his ruminations on the tenure of Charles Edward Kelly at the University of California, Los Angeles. How didst thou feel upon Kelly's hiring? What were thy hopes, dreams, and expectations? When didst thou realize that this endeavor had gone awry? What are thy final musings on Kelly and his prowess in recruiting? Doth he rank among the top 5 coaches in UCLA history? Lastly, permit me to conclude this critique with some admonishments: Ryan, thou art surely the most amiable USC supporter I have yet to encounter. However, I would counsel thee to improve thine enunciation, for at times thou dost resemble Joe Biden in the throes of a faltering press conference. David, thou art the quintessence of a West Coast elitist. Thy knowledge of history is passable, yet for one of thine erudition, there is a notable absence of discourse on the Roman Empire and a ranking of the top 10 empires. Press on, good gentlemen. Signed, Maximus Decimus Meridius
Meh…
I have been listening to the podcast since it’s inception and it’s okay. Both of the guys are douches, but I’ve grown to love them all the same. Don’t come here for football, half the show is dedicated to other topics probably having little to do with sports. Do I miss any episode? No…I wouldn’t miss a single episode if my life depended on it!
