You’ll want a seat at the table!

Love the round table discussions of a great period in film! So much fun and they all bring amazing perspectives on each topic. Keep up the great work!

Devin is a show killer

Just listened to the Outsiders episode and couldn’t every make it all the way through. On behalf of all black people, I’d like to apologize for Devin. Every time he opened his mouth, I literally cringed. He’s the epitome of why black people are stereotyped the way we are, and without him it’s all least a star rating better. I don’t know if he’s on most episodes, as I don’t think it was him on the new jack city episode, but dude is trash, and you could even tell the other two were getting annoyed with him. The sad thing is, I GUARANTEE he doesn’t act that way around other black people. I’ve been around his type before.

*Update*

After listening to a number of episodes minus Devin, I’ve realized this podcast is just not good. Period. The main host rarely has any knowledge of what he’s talking about, despite seeming like a person with good intentions; he’s nowhere near the assclown that many movie podcasters are. But he’s often just wrong about the details or background info of the movie, particularly when it’s not in his wheelhouse. And these are details that can usually be obtained from IMDB. And it’s a shame, because the movies he reviews are absolutely ones I would love to hear dissected. The only reason I give it 2 stars instead of 1 is because again, he’s not an assclown. And that’s worth at least a star IMO.
