Poetry 22: live in the moment Poetry Daily

    • Performing Arts

Today's poem is brought to you by @trainoftalks . I think there's a really important lesson within this poem which is to live in the now. We tend to get caught up in our heads thinking about our past, future, and even our phones distract us from living in the present. All these distractions have caused me to forget the value of living in the now. After messaging the writer of the poem she explained that this poem is written for a loved one that recently passed away (I realized this poem was even more relatable to me), I began to think about how precious life is. People don't really see how valuable life is until you realize how fast life moves. When my grandparents passed away because of cancer it taught me a valuable lesson to live in the present and appreciate what I already have and the little things around me. I wanted to share this poem because I wanted to remind all my followers to live in the now! Especially with today's day and age where we're constantly on our phones 24/7, take some time off, and enjoy family time.
