Hits the spot!

Justin’s Podcast is just perfect - it’s smart, it’s funny, and it’s the most genuinely unpartisan show around.

Think old-school political TV meets Aziz Ansari meets... your old high school buddy?

...plus a soupçon of professional wrestling... and some lit bumpers. I stan for JRY.

Politics put palatable

A look at the horse race and not the culture war is an informative and hilarious podcast I look forward to every week.

You don't need magic mushrroms to enjoy politics

I remember when the Don was elected to the presidency. We had just moved back to our house after living out of state for a few years. All I had in the room on that post election November night was a Laz-y-boy and my mobile device for listening. As an obsessed political junkie I was already drinking. We live in a legal state, so I was smoking as well. Sometime around 11pm or midnight came the call, the Don had won. The right wing media got it wrong. The left wing media (my team back them) got it wrong. I saw the press abused and manipulated and lost all faith in the system. I stood up, poured a final whiskey, took a valium, and went to bed. That was the night I stoped following all politics and news. No more NPR. No news (except tech news). This guy, right here, has checked the f*ck out, ya' lost me. No newspaper. No news feed. Left Twitter. Left Facebook. I find out about mass shootings because a new hash tag is trending in Instagram. Got it?

That was until I decided to get JRY's email. Eventually my desire for talk radio caught up to me and I started listening to Px3. I am back, well sort of, JRY is my only lifeline to politics. After decades of listening to talk radio, mostly politics, 8+ hours per day, all I need is a few hits of politics delivered "as if a pro wrestling show". Yeah, the gifs in the emails make sense. I don't need a talking head. I don't need rhetoric. I don't need fake bullsh*t. Only a sardonic person high on sugar or caffeine or whatever should be allowed to talk politics. In a time when the headlines are commonly indistinguishable from an article found in The Onion, what do we do? Who can we trust?

Do yourself and put down the magic mushrooms (legal where I live). You don't need them. Yeah, it's weird out there. But all you really need it this feed. I hope JRY does not implode form having to parse so much nonsense. "When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro." --HST
