Jerry continues to detail the most important metrics of running a profitable FarmerFlorist business, and Cost of Production seems to be the one metric that leaves everyone confused. What is the TRUE benefit of bring a FarmerFlorist? Controlling Cost of Production for LESS than Wholesale Costs. Buy Low--Sell High, or in the case of a FarmerFlorist - GROW LOW -- Sell High.....it sounds cliche, but it's the basis for a profitable business. I am Addicted!

This podcast y’all!!! I am binge listening to the honest advice that Jerry and Christie are providing to this community. I am an up and coming Farmer Florist that happens to be a bit of a spreadsheet/numbers guru myself and this podcast provides so much legitimate advice on how to run this type of business. A lot of planning, a lot of numbers and more numbers go into it but like Jerry insists, it’s NECESSARY if you want to thrive as an entrepreneur! I strongly recommend listening in and checking out the additional resources that they provide to support our industry.

Real world advice

How refreshing to have farmer florists that are willing to share the business side of flower farming. Porch and Prairie’s business model has enlightened my mind and broadened my perspectives on what is possible when I begin my own flower farm—allowing me to dream big while at the same time ensuring that dream is sustainable. This podcast is real talk, showing what is “un-sexy,” but necessary about the numbers. This duo are genuinely involved with helping the flower movement progress! I can’t wait for each new episode!
