In each episode Joel and Lily cover about 1/4 to 1/5 of a book, discussing what happened, why it happened and what lessons Lily is learning from the books as she reads them. It's part Cliff's Notes and part cute and instrospective conversation between a father and daughter who love the same books for the same (and sometimes totally different) reasons.

Book 1, Episode 1
In this first episode of Potter And Daughter, cartoonist Joel Watson talks to his seven year old daughter, Lily, about the first six chapters in Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone. They spend some time on the current state of Harry’s life and how it rapidly begins to change with his introduction to the Wizarding World and his journey from Privett Drive to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft And Wizardry.

Book 1, Episode 2
In the second episode of Potter And Daughter, cartoonist Joel Watson talks to his seven year old daughter, Lily, about chapters 7 through 11 in Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone. They cover the events from the sorting hat through Harry’s first game of Quidditch.

In the third episode of Potter And Daughter, Joel and Lily discuss chapter 12 through the end of Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone. They spend some time talking about The Mirror of Erised and what each of them might see in the mirror.

In the fourth episode of Potter And Daughter, Joel and Lily start their discussion of Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets including the introduction of Dobby, the role of house elves in the Wizarding world and the introduction of Professor Gilderoy Lockhart. This episode covers chapters 1 through 6.

Book 2, Episode 2
In the fifth episode of Potter And Daughter, Joel and Lily pick up their discussion of Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets at chapter 7. They talk about Harry and Draco’s prospects on their respective Quidditch teams, Wizard blood status (Pure Bloods, Mudbloods, Muggleborns and Squibs), the deal with Salazar Slytherin (and his heir), and the difference in Muggle and Wizard education.

You need to listen to this if you enjoy Harry Potter. This is ideal for all ages. At this point I'm an adult listening who cannot wait until my 2yr old daught is old enough to go back and listen again with me!
