Grizzlypaws was born and raised in Lillooet, British Columbia in the Interior Plateau region, she is of St’át’imc descent. Her St’át’imc name is “Stálhalamcen – Grizzly Paws,” She belongs to the people of Xwisten the Bear Clan.
She is a dancer, drummer and a singer/songwriter, an academic, educator and a language and cultural advocate. -

Interview with Champion Southern Straight Dancer Juaquin Hamilton.
Juaquin Hamilton is an enrolled member of the Sac & Fox Nation. He also represents the Pawnee, Otoe- Missouria, Cheyenne, Kiowa, Apache, & Tonkawa Tribes. He currently resides in Shawnee, Oklahoma with his wife & two children.
With an introduction into the arena at an early age, Juaquin has developed a love for singing and dancing in the southern straight dance category. Over the years, he has also held many different head staff positions at pow-wows throughout the United States and Canada.
