BLAMELESS: Held Firm to the End

The word blameless can feel intimidating. If being blameless means never making a mistake, never failing, and always getting it right, then most of us would probably say, “Well, that rules me out!” But 1 Corinthians 1:8 gives us a very different perspective: "He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ." Notice where the verse begins: “He will also keep you firm…” Our confidence isn't in our ability to hold everything together. It's in the faithfulness of the One who holds us. In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we talk about the difference between being blameless and being flawless. Following Christ doesn't mean we never stumble. We still make mistakes, need forgiveness, repent, learn, and grow. But our failures don't have to become our identity. We'll also explore how grace should change the way we live. Grace isn't permission to say, “It doesn't matter what I do.” Instead, grace causes us to look at what Christ has done for us and say, “I want my life to honor Him.” Maybe you're carrying shame from your past or what others have done to you. Maybe you've made mistakes you're struggling to forgive yourself for or forgive others and blame yourself. Or perhaps you're in a season where your faith feels shaky and you're wondering whether God could still use you. This episode is a reminder to shift your focus from your ability to be perfect to God's ability to be faithful. You don't have to spend your life trying to prove that you're flawless. Keep following. Keep growing. Keep returning to Him. Because your failures don't get the final word - Jesus does. And He is faithful to keep you firm to the end. MEEK: Quite Strength

What comes to mind when you hear the word meek? Quiet? Timid? Passive? Weak? Biblical meekness is something very different. In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore Psalm 37:11: "But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity." Meekness isn’t the absence of strength. It’s strength under control. It’s having a voice without using it as a weapon. It’s being capable of fighting back but having the wisdom to know when not to. It’s confidence without arrogance, boundaries without bitterness, and truth spoken with grace. And the context of Psalm 37 makes this even more powerful. David is talking about how we respond when other people are doing wrong. Instead of allowing anger, frustration, or the actions of others to control us, we're told to trust God, do good, be still, and wait patiently for Him. That can be difficult - especially when we already have the perfect comeback prepared! But sometimes the strongest thing we can do is refuse to let someone else's behavior determine ours. We'll also talk about an important distinction: meekness does not mean accepting mistreatment or having no boundaries. You can be meek and still be firm. You can forgive and still establish boundaries. You can walk away from something unhealthy without carrying hatred with you. Jesus demonstrated this kind of strength perfectly. He knew when to speak, when to confront, when to establish boundaries, and when to remain silent. So perhaps the question isn't simply, “Am I strong?” It's: “Who is controlling my strength?” My anger? My pride? My emotions? My need to be right? Or God? Join us as we discover why meek doesn't mean weak - and why sometimes the greatest strength is trusting God enough to know that not every battle requires your fight. UNDERSTANDING: More Than Just Knowing

What does it really mean to have understanding? In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore Proverbs 4:7 and its powerful instruction: "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding." There's a difference between knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. Knowledge helps us know the facts. Understanding helps us see what those facts mean. And wisdom helps us know what to do with what we've learned. That distinction can change the way we approach not only our relationship with God, but our relationships with one another. How often do we hear someone's words without really trying to understand their heart? How often are we preparing our response while they're still talking? Or make assumptions based on someone's reaction without stopping to consider what might be happening beneath the surface? Understanding doesn't mean agreeing with everything or excusing behavior that is wrong. It means being willing to listen, seek perspective, and recognize that there may be more to the story than what we can immediately see. We'll also talk about those seasons when we don't understand God - when prayers aren't answered the way we hoped, circumstances don't make sense, or we're left wondering why God has allowed a particular season. Sometimes God gives us answers. Other times, He gives us enough wisdom to trust Him without having all the answers. Maybe one of the most powerful prayers we can pray is simply: “Lord, give me understanding. Help me see what I'm missing.” Because sometimes what we need most isn't another opinion, another answer, or more information. We need deeper understanding. GLORIFIED: Beauty from the Ashes

What does it really mean for God to be glorified through our lives? In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Glorified through the beautiful promise found in Isaiah 61:3 - a passage that speaks of beauty for ashes, joy for mourning, praise instead of heaviness, and becoming trees of righteousness planted by the Lord. And then we're told why: "That He may be glorified." To glorify God doesn't mean we make God greater - He is already great. It means that through our lives, His goodness, faithfulness, power, and character become visible to others. In this episode, we talk about those seasons we never would have chosen - the disappointments, losses, mistakes, unanswered questions, and circumstances that can leave us wondering how anything beautiful could possibly come from them. But ashes don't have to be the end of the story. We'll also look at Isaiah's image of "trees of righteousness." A strong tree doesn't grow overnight. It endures wind, storms, changing seasons, and times when everything above the surface looks bare. Yet underneath, its roots are growing deeper. The same can be true of us. God may be doing some of His deepest work during the seasons when it appears that nothing is happening at all. Maybe instead of only asking, "God, why did I have to go through this?" we can begin asking, "God, how can You use this?" Because sometimes the place you thought was ruined becomes the very place where someone else sees God most clearly. If you're carrying some ashes today, this episode is a reminder that God may still be writing the story. He can bring beauty from ashes, joy from mourning, praise from heaviness—and through it all, He can be glorified. PATH: One Step at a Time

You Don't Have to See the Whole Road Have you ever wished God would just show you the entire plan? Where you're going. How you're going to get there. How long it's going to take. And maybe even give you a little warning about the difficult parts along the way? In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we're exploring the word Path through Psalm 119:105: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." There's something beautiful about the imagery in this verse. A lamp doesn't necessarily illuminate miles of road ahead - it gives you enough light to see where you're stepping. And sometimes that's exactly how God leads us. One step at a time. We'll talk about what it means to allow God's Word to guide our decisions, relationships, priorities, and direction - especially when the path ahead isn't clear. We'll also look at the many voices competing to guide us: culture, social media, other people's opinions, and even our own emotions. How do we know which direction to take? We return to the light of God's truth. If you're standing at a crossroads, waiting for an answer, facing an uncertain future, or wondering where God is leading you, this episode is for you. GIVE: A Heart of Gratitude

In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Give through the beautiful reminder found in Psalm 75:1: "We give thanks to You, O God, we give thanks! For Your wondrous works declare that Your name is near." Life has a way of pulling our attention toward what's missing, what's difficult, or what's next. But the psalmist invites us to pause and do something that changes everything - give thanks. Together, we'll talk about how gratitude is more than simply saying "thank you." It's a posture of the heart that recognizes God's faithfulness in every season. VICTORIOUS - When Victory Looks Different

Victorious - When Victory Looks Different In this episode of the Power of Twelve Podcast, we explore the word Victorious through the powerful prophecy found in Zechariah 9:9: "Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey..." When we think of victory, we often picture strength, celebration, trophies, and obvious success. But Scripture gives us a very different picture of our victorious King. Jesus entered Jerusalem not on a powerful war horse, but humbly, riding on a donkey. Victorious and lowly. Powerful and humble. King and servant. Together, we discuss how God's victories don't always look the way we expect. Sometimes victory isn't getting exactly what we prayed for or avoiding every difficult season. Sometimes victory is finding peace in the middle of the battle, choosing forgiveness over bitterness, getting back up after disappointment, or simply remaining faithful when life is hard. The cross itself looked like defeat- but it became the place of the greatest victory of all. If you're in the middle of a battle and don't feel very victorious right now, this episode is a reminder that your current circumstances don't determine the final outcome. Jesus was already the victorious King even as He rode toward the hardest part of His earthly journey. Victory doesn't always arrive with a trophy. Sometimes it comes quietly, humbly, and completely differently than we expected. But with Jesus, the victory is already won.
