Ep 7: Steven Kalish - "The Gentleman Smuggler"
Dick DeGuerin defended Steven Kalish, also known as the Gentleman Smuggler, who was as famous for the vast amounts of marijuana he smuggled as he was for following a code of honor. Kalish was also partly responsible for the downfall of Panamanian dictator, Manuel Noriega, through his testimony before a congressional panel.

Ep 6: Hurley Fontenot - "Who Killed Coach?"
Racial tension underscored an East Texas criminal case when Dick DeGuerin represented the black Vice Principal of a local high school who was accused of killing the white football coach over the affections of a white woman. When acclaimed songwriter Billy Joe Shaver shot a man outside a Waco bar, he hired Dick DeGuerin who vowed to fight to prove Shaver was defending his own life. Dick used strong words, a deft strategy and a bit of courtroom theater to persuade the jury to rule in Billy Joe's favor. The tumultuous proceedings inspired Billy Joe to write his autobiographical song "The Wacko from Waco".

Ep 4: David Koresh (Part 2) - "The Sinful Messiah"
When the ATF and FBI laid siege to the home of the Branch Davidians and its leader David Koresh, the little known religious group called on Dick DeGuerin to formulate a legal defense. Dick met with the "Sinful Messiah" as he was called by the Waco Tribune and arranged a surrender to take place after Koresh finished his interpretation of the Seven Seals. But the US government couldn't wait, sending in tanks with incendiary devices which lit up the compound creating a fiery and poisonous death for the women, children and men inside.
