Relevant, Honest, and Brilliant
Dee and Annie are brilliant, and discuss incredibly relevant topics with openness and enthusiasm. Their guests are engaging and insightful as well. I’m so glad these women decided that they should make this podcast because we are all better for it. Keep it up, ladies!
Accessible feminism!
I love that this podcast gives us a conversational insight into the window of the female experience in 2018. Without sounding whiney or lacking broader perspective, the young women on this show open up a vulnerable and genuine dialogue regarding the common issues faced by themselves and their peers. With a number of diverse guest voices, this show avoids the liberal echo chambers so commonly constructed when having these conversations and instead makes the concept of feminism approachable and non-threatening. If anything, 'Pretty, Angry' makes use of the role of men in gender issues by inviting them to a seat at the table both literally and in the audiences they pursue. In this 'wine-night-gets-real' setting, a new type of ideological discourse emerges; one that not only includes but invites those who disagree, all with the goal of a more practical approach to progress.
Feeling Impressed
Really impressed by not shying away from the topics most people avoid conversationally. These are all conversations we should easily have and Pretty, Angry is doing that.
