Not just beginning band.

This is a great podcast. I’ve been listening to this for a few months now, and there are so many great tips and ideas and other resources here for any band teacher at any level. Give this a listen, see what I mean.

Incredibly Helpful

I'm a new HS band director and I'm only 3 episodes in but every episode has helped me so much, especially the intonation one. Intonation is something I really struggle with and this episode provided so much valuable information. I like that you give specific ideas and tips rather than vague overarching ideas. Right now I'm in survival mode and I need specific tips, so this is perfect.

Great for new directors and new head directors!

Program Notes has been an invaluable source of guidance. I’ve recently been given the opportunity to be a head director in a high school, and so much of what has been covered in his podcasts have been applied or have helped us navigate some hairy situations. I can soundly say our kids are growing, they are happy, the parents and administration are impressed, and much of this is thanks to podcasts such as these.

Whether you are a new teacher or a teacher advanced in your career, this podcast is a must.
