    Our nervous systems have been hard-wired and trained to manage challenging behaviours in many different ways, depending on social and environmental programs that we have been gifted or had to learn to survive.

    In this episode, I talk about the level of training I have had to deal with challenging behaviours and explain how to navigate the emotionally taxing times when we are expected to be in environments we may or may not want to be in. Whether by choice or force. There is a way to manage, mitigate and navigate somewhere inbetween.

    How to live in the InBetween moments with energy medicine

    Reiki has been my saving grace for many years now. It helped me to heal from burnout holistically. It opened me up to new possibilities, new avenues within health and wellness and to be honest. I no longer see life in the same way I used to, and I have Reiki, Meditation and other forms of bodywork to thank for that.

    As much as I love Western medicine, we need it for various things. When it came to healing for me, I woke up to the fact that mind, body, and spirit health is in my personal opinion as a health professional the new way of life and health and wellness. People are seeking it, when someone feels failed, disregarded or unheard. They will find other means to get answers. Much like I did! I became a huge personal development junkie and an energy medicine lover and I will never go back.

     I used to try to analyse how and why Reiki worked, the fact is you can't so I don't. When people ask me, how and what is reiki? I say it's like an energetic reset for your body. Think in terms of your body as an electrical circuit within a fridge has.... It is connected to an earthing station, if a wire misfires the earthing station will shut that circuit off so nothing burns up (ie your house) In this instance I am talking about your brain and body. Reiki is the circuit breaker and rerouter of healing energy. It's amazing, don't question it. Just accept and love it!

    As an award-winning Financial Adviser, I enjoyed my career, but realised I needed to make some serious changes in my life, when burnout crept up on me, along with a cancer diagnosis. 
    I was living in a beautiful country town, with a loving family, but I’d become stressed, out of balance & unwell.
    As someone who has lived with an autoimmune condition since my teen years, I know what it’s like to bring my body into alignment & stand in my best health through lifestyle medicine. 
    Experiencing burnout was the reminder I needed. 
    As I brought my own life back into alignment, I also realised I could support other high achieving women craving guilt-free vitality to do the same.

    Burntout American teacher, teaching at risk students

    Darryl is a married dad of five children. He is a former US Marine Corps during the war on terror. International speaker and education consultant. Darryl once witnessed the horrific death of his father at a very young and impressionable age. It shaped much of his life. Darryl is now a teacher to children and teens deemed 'at risk' in school environments where the cycle of pain will likely continue and not heal.

    He has written a book and continues to serve his young 'Kings and Queens' to find a way out of their at-risk lives and move into something greater and healthier for their lives.
