Proposed Homeless Camp Sites KRBN - Internet News Talk Radio

    • Politics

LIVE TODAY @ 4:00 pm Pacific, It's the Boze Noze Show! So the City of Eugene is proposing "safe sleeping" sites and none are south of 11th but 8 of 11 are in Council Ward 7. One site is not even inside the city limits! At the same time they are considering an ordinance requiring RV and car campers to move every couple of days. Thne Governor finally signed HB 2289 that will waive planning approvals for folks that lost a residence due to the Holiday Farm fire. I asked the Board to provide policy direction to our staff to take the most liberal interpretation of the legislation and make it easy for fire victims to skip the planning process, Heather Buch and the rest of the progressive majority balked at providing this guidance. COVID is still making news and Oregon now wants counties to put money into the vaccine lottery, but veterans have to jump through hoops to participate. We can also talk about whatever is on your mind, just give us a call!
