    Dragon Quest 9 Review

    Dragon Quest 9 Review

Today is the day we review Dragon Quest 9: Sentinels Of The Starry Skies. Is the Seth Green commercial worth the hype? Is the focus on multiplayer a hindrance on the overall "Dragon Quest" experience? Or is there just enough to make a great game. We also briefly talk about the new movie announcement. So, like, so be warned there is a lot of So's on Jacob's part....SO enjoy.
P.S.: It took us long enough to get together for this review that we all have now finished DQ11.

    Dragon Quest 8 Review

    Dragon Quest 8 Review

The long awaited review of Dragon Quest 8 is finally here. The usual banter includes Craig's hatred of Final Fantasy 8's soundtrack (again). The missing of some key story details (the 7 orbs). And our insane rankings that we critique each other for highly. Is this a Top-Tier RPG? Is Jessica better than Tifa? Find out.
    Today's quotables include.
"i've got a sceptre for her"
"i'm going to get killed by a pack of rabid dogs, thus is the Alaskan way"

Walk before attempting to run... with other people’s money.

Well I listened to this podcast on Spotify as it was coming out there. I kept listening because it was one of very few Dragon Quest podcast available. I am a lifelong fan of the series since NES so I thought “I’m sure this exist because new games are coming west again so I’m sure there’s a new market.” I didn’t expect it to be as bad as It is. It sounds as though a group of guys saw their buddies succeeding at making a Final Fantasy podcast and thought they would try to make a few bucks off of another legendary franchise. The product we receive is a group of young guys who don’t even seem that interested in the series or its extensive important history to the industry. They simply read through Wikipedia pages on each game and slog through some off color commentary on the history or the games and attempt to ponder choices made by the games creative powers. This all would have been fine and good if these gentleman didn’t start making references to their Patreon page almost immediately. Before the sound quality was any good, before they had any sort of method to the episodes, before they even had a decent sounding opening to the show these boys were asking for money... no good. Try another Podcast.
