This month, the Phoenix is hosting a double event. Namely: Robot Wars in the Pennine Suite and an alternative comedy night (aka The Funny Farm). It’ll get the students in, they love all that new comedy.



We have a new character theory for you, Jerry once again displays his bastard credentials and we learn a little something about universities.



Tom corrects misquoters, Jimmy tells us how he was put off clubland as a youth and we get a master class in handling hecklers.



Kenny, y’better make him a bed up! 

I'm thinking of giving you all a pearl necklace this month as we continue our journey through bolton's clubland. Following the club's first ever singles night, will Potter find love? Is Beverley Hillscopto who or what she says she is? are waterbeds orthopedic? We attempt to answer all this and more.

We also extol the merits of Nuneaton's City Pizza to get some free Ke-babs (hopefully), talk about waterbeds and holidays.

I'm getting the words....New Episode...

It's the "classic" phoenix nights episode under the microscope this week, episode 3, Psychic Night. We get our first introductions to both Den Perry (fat pig) and Armchair Superstore (ASS) in this episode, as well as a onetime meeting with phenomenon Clinton Baptiste and pup-fancying fire inspector, Keith Lard.

Tom and Jimmy recall when they met Den Perry in real life, Tom has a theory about Jerry's personalities and we praise the unsung hero of episode 3, the police bike.

Wow, that's what I call ready for action!

Tom & Jimmy are on episode 2 of their Phoenix Nights journey! Once again, the storyline is packed with Ray Von's smoke machine, The Captain's death, The Captain's funeral, knackered snooker tables, bucking broncos and an ill-fated wild west night.

We ask all the big questions, give out all the big answers and probably get them wrong.

Our Phoenix Nights odessy has begun! Tom & Jimmy are here to guide you through the plots, twists and laughs of Peter Kay's (classic?) sitcom, Phoenix Nights!

Join us as we break down the character's personalities, question the extent of Roy Walker's career, mull over whether HAlf a Shilling were ACTUALLY racist or not and share our trivia, thoughts and memories of the show.

This is the first of what will be monthly episodes, who knows, maybe Tom will remember to switch his microphone on for episode 2.
