    PC/DC -- Episode 002: Driving Chariots

A very lively discussion. The reading habits of Toddlers. Some music that may be genius or insanity. And we play a board game, twice.

    A Whisky for New Beginnings

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss?

A radio show. A new podcast (ish). A boardgame finally finished? More Whisky for the End of the World.

A Whiskey for the End of the Show

A Whiskey for the End of the Show

This was supposed to be episode 209, with some game analysis, an idiot box recommendation and some isights into music and community. I didn't like the results. It didn't really feel of any value to do things as I would have when Punching Cardboard was in it's prime. After re-recording several times I realized there was no getting around the fact that the show as it existed was finished.
Hence, here we are, in the Whiskey for the end of  . . .  format that I adopted at the beginning of the dark times. This feels more genuine, and after 208 episodes, it seems like the best way to end the original show.

    Adieu.

Episode 207 -- The Hermit Years

Episode 207 -- The Hermit Years

You were warned. We threatened it numerous times over the past eight-plus years. Well, it's finally happened. This episode is board game free. Not game free, mind you, but no cardboard was used in the making of this episode.
Is Elden Ring the be all, end all? Listen in and find out. A little music to close things out as well.

One of my favorites

This is one of my favorite gaming podcast. These guys are just real. They aren’t trying to impress, they are just giving their opinions about games. I’m not even sure I agree with them, but still love the banter. For one, I am not looking forward to episode 169.

Rambling

Lol...these guys love to ramble on about just crap. It's fine but I just don't want to hear that..and then get to the board game part. The board game part has some insight but I hate the "reluctant opinion" bit. Sorry we got you out of bed gentlemen to tell us your story...haha

A Unique Format

Jim and Joe don’t have a fancy template for reviews, a 6 point scale, a gavel or even an award to hand out. Each episode is simply two gamers discussing some recent plays of a title and then presenting their impressions of the game this far. Sometimes a game can bomb in one episode only to open up in future episodes or start off as a hit and fizzle later on. That real take on games and openness to the ebb and flow of impression is what makes the Punching Cardboard podcast a gem in a sea of content creators all doing the same thing.
