Expectations can be the killer of relationships and joy. Hurt usually happens in the gap between our expectations and reality. On Palm Sunday, when we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, there were many expectations people had for Jesus. They praised and shouted because they believed he was coming for reasons they knew. But Jesus had different priorities. Is it possible that sometimes we can get our expectations of Jesus wrong? If so, how does that impact our trust and joy in Christ?
