Love this podcast

I wish there were more episodes! These are such helpful reviews of medications for my PA school clinical rotations

Nice review

Have only listened to a couple, and I’m a hospital pharmacist, so some of his examples are not relatable to my practice. However it’s a well organized, to the point review with good information.

thank you for this podcast!!!

As podcasting has grown in popularity i’ve been hoping for one to come out that accomplishes exactly what this one does - brief overviews of complex drugs / drug classes that offers simple and concise breakdowns with some clinical pearl-esque insights, done by a narrator that isn’t recording on a Nokia phone in their mom’s echoey basement (lol sry other pharmacy podcasts but c’mon).

Even if you aren’t looking for a podcast that functions in such a macroscopic manner, it’s honestly still worth a listen because not only are the episodes fairly short as far as podcasts typically go, but the host describes simple and significant differences between specific drugs within classes, as well as between the general classes used in the treatment of common disease states.

With how much information is available from a never ending amount of sources (database, textbooks, etc), as a student it becomes uber overwhelming. The podcast is a nice reprieve from the constant attempt to assign so many details to the multitude of available drugs in this massive compare-contrast-memorize mission that is pharmacy school. In describing the similarities and distinctions between drugs, the host pulls from real life, this-is-what-we-actually-see experience garnered by time spent in the field, rather than hours put into staring at Micromedex/Lexicomp — basically the information you hope to leave rotations with, packaged in a nice little podcast easily digested during your wait in the 3am Taco Bell line (u kno the one).
