Put two past Hedman
Man of the match Mark Nicholls
Never scored again

As a 21 year old American on my first trip to England in 1998, I’d only really heard of Arsenal, ManU, and Liverpool. As Highbury was sold out, a friend recommended that I see an “up and coming” team called Chelsea. A Mark Nicholls brace, and a dummy through Mark Hughes resulting in a Roberto DiMatteo goal and I was hooked. I also thought, misguidedly so, that Mark Nicholls was good enough to play in France ‘98.

20 years later, Josh, Chris, and Michael provide me with the 1990s football education I never had. It creates a sense of nostalgia for a time and place I was never really part of. Highly, highly recommended.

PRO TIP: If you’re trying to binge listen and catch up, try listening in 1.5x speed. Worth it just for hearing the boys’ laughs at high speed.
