Hey! It's our 400th show! And we're in person, live from Grierson's place in Los Angeles. And we've got three doozies of movies to talk about. First, it's the big budget stunt film "The Fall Guy," with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt and directed by that OTHER Leitch. Then we dig into the indie hit "I Saw the TV Glow." And we close with Jerry Seinfeld's Netflix movie "Unfrosted."
It's our 400th show! Thank you for letting us do 400 shows.

"Challengers," "The Feeling That the Time for Doing Something Has Passed"

We just have two movies this week, but they're fun ones. The first is Luca Guadagnino's Zendaya tennis movie "Challengers," and then the indie "The Feeling That the Time for Doing Something Has Passed.
The reason we have just two movies this week? Because we have our special in-person 400th show next week. Live from Los Angeles!

"Abigail," "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare," "Some Like It Hot"

Hey, shhh ... she's a vampire! We discuss the horror/heist movie "Abigail," and then dig into yet another Guy Ritchie movie, "The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Behavior."
We go frmo those two movies to an all-time classic, the Billy Wilder/Marilyn Monroe/Jack Lemmon/Tony Curtis farce "Some Like It Hot."

"Civil War," "Sasquatch Sunset," "The People's Joker"

It's a big art/blockbuster movie! It's A24, so it's art? But it's a big hit so it's a blockbuster? It's so confusing, so we try to get to the bottom of Alex Garland's "Civil War." Then, we discuss a movie with Jesse Eisenberg and Riley Keough as Bigfeet in "Sasquatch Sunset." And then it's Vera Drew's festival hit "The People's Joker."

"Monkey Man," "The Beast," "Girls State"

Sorry we took another week off, but we're back to our weekly shows. We've got three fun ones this week! First, it's Dev Patel's actioner "Monkey Man." Then it's the French science fiction drama "The Beast," with Lea Seydoux. And we close with the Apple TV documentary "Girls State," a "companion" film to 2020's "Boys State." Fun movies to talk about this week. Also, Will insults Florida a bit.

"Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire," "Road House," "Immaculate"

After a week off, we are back! (And then we have another week off next week. Sorry. Both Leitch's fault.) We've got good ones to discuss, though. Well, meaty ones, anyway. First, it's another Ghostbusters movie, "Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire." Then it's the Doug Liman straight-to-video remake "Road House." And we close with the Sydney Sweeney nun movie, "Immaculate."

Enjoy the show

Found you from Will’s other podcast, Seeing Red, and I am enjoying the show. Love the honest banter back and forth and the occasional crazy outburst when you strongly disagree. Love the reboot part especially since I’m a big fan of old movies. Loved your review of His Girl Friday. I think it is the best version of this story. Keep up the good work and Go Cards. Here are two Reboot suggestions: Anatomy of Murder and Meet John Doe. One for the the awesomeness of Jimmy Stewart and one for the commentary on society that applies even more to modern times.

The Podcast I've Been Looking For!

It's been a while since I was in college and could discuss movies ad nauseum with my friends. I don't really have that in my life anymore so I was lucky to find this podcast. With great insight from both reviewers, an awesome and obvious friendship between the two, and the spirit of Siskel and Ebert following through it, I feel like I've finally found a podcast that lets me indulge in one of my passions. Albeit, vicariously.
My suggest for a reboot is my all time favorite movie, Some Like It Hot. It has great performances, a great story, and I'd challenge you to find a better last two minutes of any other movie. I'd be especially curious to hear Tim and Will's opinions on the subject matter. I find that a lot of the humor holds up to this day and could even be considered positive towards the gender idenity movements going on but I can also see how some people might find it offensive. What are your thoughts?

Smug white men, with little curiosity

Very turned off by their condescending review of Monkey Man. I get that they don’t like the movie, that’s fine. But the way they talked - eeeeesh! “The stuff about Indian culture, is kinda interesting I guess, but it’s nothing compared to John Wick.’

Yuck! Can you at least consider the possibility that your narrow 90’s understanding of what an action movie is or should be may be a bit limited?
