This year’s focus is relationships. In week 1 of RED HOT, Pastor Lee Cummings answers your live questions about singleness, dating, and sex.

    Questions from this message:

Is it wrong to have a sexual kink?

Does dating always need to be for courting or is it useful to help learn whom and what you want in a partner? Can dating with romance just be for fun?

Why is it okay for people who’ve divorced, gotten abortions, or are living in sexual sin to be in leadership positions, but not LGBTQIA believers?

With our over-sexualized media, how do we know what is appropriate and what is not when watching tv and movies?

In a dating relationship, do you lose your virginity with oral/anal sex?

How do we handle the guilt of lustful dreams when it is something we can’t control?

Your family believes God says the person you’re dating is not the one, but you feel God is telling you different. What do you do?

I’ve had sex in the past, (and have committed to purity since then), and now am in a committed relationship where we have clear boundaries. Sometimes I feel shameful when I desire for more with my significant other even though I’m not acting on it. How do I heal from this shame?

    Exploits of Faith

    Exploits of Faith

Exploits of Faith is a sermon from guest speaker Pastor Mike Popenhagen from Radiant Church Jackson. Pastor Mike breaks down the three truth's about faith while encouraging us to surrender to the Lord and see the potential in the little things.

Focus Scripture // Matthew 17:19-20 (ESV)

"Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, "Why could we not cast it out?" 20 He said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you."

    Sermon Highlights

Our dreams get hijacked. We were created for significance.

Faith sees potential in small things.

What is it that you may see as insignificant, but God sees as full of potential?

Don't despise the small things in your life.

Faith believes the impossible is possible.

    Faith produces unintended outcomes.

If you can believe that God will do the impossible, He'll do it.

Week Three - All Fall Down

Week Three - All Fall Down

Stronger is a brand new series that will look at the book of Daniel as the prototype for how to live our lives in the middle of deeply influenced culture.

In week three, Pastor Lee Cummings brings a powerful word from Daniel 3. We learn about where the source of our boldness and strength comes from: Jesus.

    Focus Scripture // Daniel 3:1-18
“King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits. He set it up on the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon. 2 Then King Nebuchadnezzar sent to gather the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 3 Then the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up. 4 And the herald proclaimed aloud, “You are commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages, 5 that when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, you are to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up. 6 And whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace.” 7 Therefore, as soon as all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, all the peoples, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.
8 Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and maliciously accused the Jews. 9 They declared to King Nebuchadnezzar, “O king, live forever! 10 You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who hears the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image. 11 And whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into a burning fiery furnace. 12 There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, pay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”
13 Then Nebuchadnezzar in furious rage commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. So they brought these men before the king. 14 Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, “Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up? 15 Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”
16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17 If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. 18 But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

    Sermon Highlights

Babylon is not just a historical empire, but a counterfeit kingdom.

Nebuchadnezzar's image is the epitome of this counterfeit kingdom.

The spirit of Babylon wants to dominate every sphere of culture.

Is the conviction in you stronger than the culture around you?

Boldness and strength come from the presence of Jesus.

God does everything with great intention.

The fires of trials are temporary. Eternity is worth it.
