RadioEight lives at the intersection of audio documentary, interactive, and social media to invent a progressive new measure of our condition on the planet: the subconscious dreams of the world's children.

By exploring the world of sub-conscious childhood dreams, RadioEight unlocks deep human connections that eliminate the barriers of geography, culture, language, politics, and economic status.

Inspired by the idea of an 8th continent of which every child on earth is a naturalized citizen, our project is centered on the dreams of children 7–13 years old; a developmental time when children begin to turn their focus away from their family, to the world beyond.

    Episode One / The Wayfarer

We wander realms of promise, flight, loss, and the desire for a new way of life- as subconscious fragments form paths to unknown places.

2015 marks a time of great human migration and displacement worldwide. The Nepali children heard here were recorded just hours before the April 25th earthquake in Kathmandu, which displaced tens of thousands, killing nearly nine thousand.

    Episode Two / Luck

    Episode Two / Luck

Bubbling from the universal subconscious of children are dreams of luck: good, bad and otherwise. Karma swings wildly by night, an unpredictable force, prone to reversals as a dream unfolds. We are challenged to consider that “good luck” or “bad luck,” may be subject to the changing winds of personal circumstance and outlook. Armed with powerfully optimistic spirits, some dreamers interpret the darkest turns of fate as an omen of good to come.
