Radiotherapy - 17 November 2019 Radiotherapy

    • Medicine

The relationship between climate change and health - particularly the dangers of undernutrition -  is canvassed by Associate Professor Yuming Guo from Monash University. Dr. Guo is from Monash's Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine and his team of researchers have led a world-first study analysing the link between heat exposure and increased undernourishment illness; Dr Alicia Spittle, a Physiotherapist and Post-Doctoral Researcher from Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, explores the issue of paid parental leave for parents of preterm babies for World Prematurity Day. The team also explore the impact of bush fires on public health and health services, and probe a claim linking a ban on logging to poor mental health outcomes. With Radiotherapy presenters Panel Beater, Neo Natal and Dr Sharma.
