Kristina Gutierrez & Sheena Rosell
My guests are two energetic and passionate women. Sheena Rosell and Kristina Gutierrez Carreon started Fresh Cut Catering in Chino, CA, in 2014. With over 14 years' experience in the culinary industry and over 12 years' experience in customer service, management, and sales, Kristina and Sheena are the perfect dynamic duo who create memorable culinary experiences. Kristina and Sheena have made it their mission to create healthier cuisines for those looking for healthier options for their corporate, wedding, banquet, special event, or on-the-go clients and continue to create custom menus for their customers.
Sheena Rosell is an accomplished culinary and Executive Chef and Co-Owner of Fresh Cut Catering. As a Le Cordon Bleu Culinary graduate, Sheena has worked for and gained experience through Wolfgang Puck's Catering, Eurest Dining Services, and various restaurants. Through her work experience, she was able to see how to work and run a catering. Sheena's passion for food comes from building a healthier lifestyle by creating menus that are healthy and delicious. Keeping up with a healthy lifestyle, Sheena enjoys going to the gym regularly, volunteering for community outreach programs, and sharing her love for healthy cooking with others.
Kristina Gutierrez Carreon is a Co-Owner and Managerial Partner of Fresh Cut Catering. Kristina has operated the business along-side partner, Sheena. Before becoming an owner of her own company, Kristina worked at companies where she acquired employee relations, business management/leadership skills, sales, and customer service skills. Kristina is a graduate of California State University, Fullerton, with a bachelor's in Communications. With well-rounded employment and educational background, she has been able to apply these skills in every aspect of her business and life. When Kristina is not working, she is an accomplished singer who has performed for non-profit events, special events, and other festivities around the Inland Empire and Los Angeles areas. Kristina has also been an advocate for the American Cancer Society for the past couple of years and various community outreach programs around Southern California. She feels that giving back is the number one priority.
My guest is Sandra Acosta. Sandra Acosta is changing the world one business owner at a time. And coming from business development, Business strategy, and project management specialist is something you want to hear. During her extensive exposure to business management practices in different countries and cultures, she developed a personal commitment to help business owners of all industries by sharing the lessons learned and support their growth since they are fundamental in all economies. Her philosophy is to “run the extra mile but never forget in what direction, find your vision and go get it.”
My Guest is a Latina business owner. Maria Isabel Lopez Native Angeleno and eldest daughter of Mexican immigrant parents, Maria Isabel Lopez, embodies both cultures' blend. Inspired by her father's rag to riches story and her mother's passionate spirit, she was set out to connect and create. Her passion for travel, family and her goal of becoming a bilingual entrepreneur has led her to many adventures both personally and professionally. By fusing her 1st generation Mexican heritage and her Los Angeles-bred love of event production, her restaurant quickly became a staple of her community. Candela Taco Bar quickly became the bridge between her evolving Miracle Mile neighborhood and her family patrimony, Leonardo's Nightclub: the original regional Mexican dance halls in Los Angeles. Currently, Maria and her brother Omar run the property under the umbrella known as Candela La Brea. Maria Isabel Lopez now produces large-scale live music concerts, cultural events, and large-scale caterings. Her list of clients includes Google, YouTube, Space X, Disney, Cirque du Soliel, Universal Music, NBC Universo, and The Getty Museum, to name a few, as well as corporate partnerships with leading companies such as Bose. Maria strives to stay involved by hosting events and immersing herself in causes she believes in. For the past six years, she serves on the Board at Amanecer Community Counseling Services. As the Board President, she strives to do her part in erasing mental health stigmas. Amanecer is a non-profit organization that provides culturally competent, accessible, high-quality mental health care for the underserved adults, children, and families of Los Angeles. They have a mental illness or severe emotional problems. Beyond Maria's projects that include managing a sizeable creative event space, she has also launched a jewelry line, Well Aware. Her wellness bracelet line for mindful women is made by Mexican artisan crafts your ideal medical i.d. piece.
One that is free of stigma and full of style. Her gorgeous bracelets are created in the town that holds Mexico's oldest silver mines, Taxco, Guerrero, Mexico. With each piece's sale, Maria and Well Aware are committed to supporting clean water initiatives and providing access to clean water so that rural economies may flourish.
