Cutting Through the Overwhelm with Heather Chauvin

Cutting Through the Overwhelm with Heather Chauvin

In today's episode of Raising Adults, Deana and Kira have the pleasure of chatting with Heather Chauvin, a leadership coach who helps overwhelmed, ambitious women become leaders at work and home while conquering their fears. She's also the host of the Mom Is In Control Podcast, where she reveals her most vulnerable truths about womanhood, marriage, parenting, living through stage four cancer, and running a successful business without burning out.

"Women walk around this earth pretending that they are robots, pretending that they don't matter. When you think about it, we probably take better care of our house plants than we do our bodies. We water the plants and we can't remember the last time we drank water." - Heather Chauvin

    Today's discussion includes:
Why Heather does this work (2:37) How Heather had to recalibrate after her diagnosis (8:02) When our behavior is really about feeling in control (15:12) Noticing our resistance, fear and guilt (21:10) The importance of remembering that we are our child’s teacher (27:59)
Thanks for joining us today for this great conversation with Heather. What was your biggest takeaway? Please come and share it with us on our social media!

PrincessLizabeth ,

Love it!

I absolutely love and this podcast! I feel like I’ve finally found experts who match my ideal parenting style. I only wish I had found them sooner! There is so much great advice, and I really appreciate that they give you both the “why” and the “how” in each episode. Their ideas are practical and they seem to find a perfect middle ground between permissive and authoritarian parenting. They help you solve the problems of right now while also teaching your kids lessons that will serve them into adulthood.

The Brandon Larson episode was incredible

So many great insights for current and future fathers!

Grateful for this podcast

I am a mother of two 5 and 2 and busy professional. Having two little children is demanding and requires us to show up every day with intention. I started out this journey with many books. First around sleep, then the challenges of motherhood began around free will and independence as the toddler years hit. My sister also a mother to littles shared this podcast and it has been amazing. Such easy tips and perspectives shared on every episode. And the hosts are easy to listen to and engaging.

I want raise loving, problem solvers who step out with confidence and kindness every day into their growing world. I feel like this podcast helps give me the tools to improve my own self as their guide through these developmental years.

Thank you! You deserve all 5 stars and more for your work!
