I’m so excited and grateful that you are here. Raising Loveliness is a concept I’ve nurtured in different ways over the years. The original idea behind Raising Loveliness is to help moms bring out the best in ourselves and our children, because I believe that as more of us love ourselves and create lives we love, the more loving we can be towards one another – and together, ever so gradually, we can cultivate a kinder, more compassionate world. I believe in the power and beauty of community – of coming together to find some common ground, of sharing our stories, and cheering each other on through our challenges and our victories. If you’re looking for guidance, ideas, and inspiration to help you make your vision – both for your life and your business – a reality, you’re in exactly the right place and I can’t wait to share this journey with you!Whether you gain new insights or ideas that you can apply to your business or life as mom, or you simply find connection and realize you’re not alone in this incredible journey, I hope that this podcast can support you in loving yourself and your gifts, and in living a life that lights you up.

013 When to DIY Your Website vs When to Hire a Pro w/ Michelle Pontvert

013 When to DIY Your Website vs When to Hire a Pro w/ Michelle Pontvert

True story:  Many years ago, when I first launched my business, I thought that having a professional website was essential for my success.
Not knowing anything about building websites, I went on one of those freelance hiring sites and put up a job posting for a website.
I hired a team I thought would do a good job, even though the budget was a bit of a stretch.
Unfortunately, my experience was less than amazing. The team built a pretty basic site, it wasn’t even complete when they just disappeared, and having that website did nothing to bring in paying clients.
Now fortunately, I have a pretty techie husband who was able to figure out web design and set me up with a site that worked and he’s built my sites ever since.  However, I know that not everyone is in this situation and I don’t want you to have to go through the same challenges and frustrations that I did.
And so I’m grateful and excited to share today’s interview with you. Today we’re talking with Michelle Pontvert, a branding and website designer with 12 years of design experience, who specializes in working with overstretched parents with service-based businesses who are ready to scale up their businesses and scale back their overtime.
Michelle lives with her husband and adorable 2 year old in Paris, far from her native Australia or adoptive homeland America, and balances serving her clients and being a hands-on Mum.

Join us for episode 13 as we discuss:
The key elements to include in your website (whether you DIY or hire a pro)What matter most when it comes to having a website for your businessExactly what to look for when hiring a web designerHow a website can support your business (even if you’re just starting out)Whether you’re planning to hire a web designer or planning to do it yourself, Michelle has so many great tips and ideas for you, so take a little time and listen now.

012 Conscious Parenting and Conscious Living w/ Kim Muench

012 Conscious Parenting and Conscious Living w/ Kim Muench

In this episode of Raising Loveliness, we’re talking all about conscious living and conscious parenting.
On a personal note, I’ll say that this is something that I never really thought about until I became a mom.
Very early on after my first child was born, I started thinking about everything I wanted for her and how I always wanted her to love herself and live a life she loved.
And when I thought about how to support her in this throughout the years to come, I realized that I wasn’t living by example. I’d kind of lived my life as a people-pleaser, doing what I thought I was “supposed” to do without loving myself or making choices that lit me up.
It was this realization that opened the door to what became years and years (and yes, it’s still ongoing) of learning to live and parent with intention.
And so I’m grateful to have this conversation with Kim Muench, a Certified Conscious Parenting Coach who specializes in working with mothers of adolescents.
Kim’s three plus decades raising five children and years of coaching other parents empowers her to lead her clients with compassion and without judgment into healthier, happier, more functional relationships.

Listen to episode 12 as we talk about:

What conscious parenting is (and how it can support you and your child)Why Kim chose to become a parenting coach (and what parenting coaching is all about)Kim’s experience in writing a book (and how she hopes it will help children and parents)
Whether Conscious Parenting is new to you or something you’ve been doing for years, I know that Kim has so much to offer and hope that this episode supports you on your journey.
