    Healing Power of Sound

    Healing Power of Sound

Today we dive in with Jen, Creator/Owner of Embodied Intuitive Care, on the healing effects of sound.

Jen has been delving in the healing arts for well over a decade.  In both the nursing and yoga fields for over 10 years, she is versed on both sides of the proverbial caring coin.  Yin yoga is her specialty and treasured choice of sharing much needed rest and relaxation to all.  Sound is a more recent incorporation to her offerings, all centered around soothing the soul and all intuitively learned.  With emphasis on the spirit, she shares an amalgamation of these worlds through her small holistic caring business embodied. intuitive care.  Focus is on those undergoing the ebbs and flows of pregnancy, cancer treatment and end of life transition.

Stick around until the very end to meditate with Jen as she explores her instruments live with us.

    Self Love Hardships

“My body was not failing, it was all my old wounds that were creeping up inside of me. My body had done a tremendous job actually, and it was showing me how amazing it truly is. It was like my body said; ‘hey Lori, guess what? We took all of this stuff and we healed it for you. Thank you for working together as a team.’ Had I not been listening to my body,  I think the healing process would have been a struggle with not staying intune with it’s needs. Our body is a temple, and it show us it’s greatness all the time. We need to honor that.” - Lori Braunsberg
Today we go in-depth on the healing process; both physical and emotional, that Lori has undergone this year following a life changing surgery.

    The Rhythm of Motherhood

    The Rhythm of Motherhood

In this episode, we sit and talk with Jess about her beautiful home birth + her  postpartum experience so far.

Jess is mama to 6 month old Winter Lyra, owner of Earth Song Creative Arts, and lover of all things musical, natural, and mystical.

As a mystical loving musician, she was able to identify how making noise + chanting “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” created the space to connect fully to her body, while she brought her baby earth side.

She also gives us the opportunity to visually tap into how much love and support she was surrounded by in her home for the birth of Winter, + how her doula and midwife positively affected her space.

With a 6 month now at home, Jess speaks to us an honest, fresh look at postpartum life, and how she ties it into owning a music school with her husband.

Stick around for the end to hear the sweetest coo’s from our youngest guest; Winter!

In this episode, we get to sit with fellow mama, Leah Fox. Leah is a multi media artist and movement teacher. She uses words, paint, and creates jewelry to create offerings of beauty as a form of healing. She teaches prenatal yoga and finds infinite inspiration in finding intentional ways of moving her body.  She is a mother to three young children, and is forever seeking the balance of tending to her own soul amidst motherhood.

    Today, she leads us through her practice of nurturing her spirit and her soul;
“What is supportive to me, is in fact supportive to my family”-Leah

It’s so easy for mothers to put their needs last, but when we switch the lens and realize what fills us will also fill our children, self-nourishment and self-care can come more forefront of our experience.

When most think of the word 𝗔𝗹𝘁𝗮𝗿, the first thing that usually comes to mind is religion.
But in today’s modern world, we are seeing them used in so many more ways than just inside of a place of worship.

Why would you want to build an altar in your home?

An altar can be a powerfully personal space, one that can be created + utilized to serve as your own sacred space.

They are a great way to start building a relationship to self + higher self, gods, goddesses, ancestors, angels, source.. A tool to tap into for meditation, prayer, affirmation.

But most of all, it’s a way for you to start taking the time now to reflect on what’s important for you. Providing a couple minutes of ritual each day for 𝓎𝑜𝓊𝓇𝓈𝑒𝓁𝒻.

In this episode, Lori and Ashley go over how they build altars, why they build them, and how they practice with them.

    Extend the Slow Down

“𝙾𝚗𝚌𝚎 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚜𝚝𝚘𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚍 𝚛𝚞𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚑𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑 𝚕𝚒𝚏𝚎, 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚠𝚊𝚜 𝚊𝚖𝚊𝚣𝚎𝚍 𝚑𝚘𝚠 𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑 𝚖𝚘𝚛𝚎 𝚕𝚒𝚏𝚎 𝚜𝚑𝚎 𝚑𝚊𝚍 𝚝𝚒𝚖𝚎 𝚏𝚘𝚛.” - 𝙰𝚞𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚛 𝚄𝚗𝚔𝚗𝚘𝚠𝚗

All of life’s lessons come wrapped up and presented to us through our life’s trials. This past year, for everyone in the world, has been one of those times..

No matter what your situation was during the pandemic, we were all slapped in the face with an abrupt change,  and forced out of our comfortability limits.

It became very easy to identify the negative triggers that were occurring around us. We as a collective, we’re experiencing grief, trauma and sadness together at an all time high.

But as Lori says in this show, when she pushed past the fear that she felt and that was happening all around her.. she found peace, love and joy.

Covid, for some, granted a beautiful gift of a forced slow down. Granted a gift of time..

An opportunity to turn inward and explore what matters and why.

Now that our worlds are coming back to a normal flow, the cycle is completing, how can we integrate what we’ve learned about ourselves and our joy into a practical way of living?

What have you changed? How have you changed? And how are you moving forward into a life of purpose with intention?

Be sure to stick around to the end of the conversation where we reveal a special announcement that we’ve been working on!
