    The Power of Simple

    The Power of Simple

It's easy to get lost in complexity as a purpose-driven entrepreneur trying to solve a problem and make an impact. But simplicity is actually the key to reaching your goals. In this podcast episode, I delve into why simplicity is more strategic for your business and for your customers—it's where financial sustainability and impact reside.

Here's why simple is more strategic:

At the heart of every successful business are a couple of fundamental building blocks: Core Messaging and a Working Sales Funnel. Every single product/service you offer needs these building blocks in place.

I always say: "Every offer is a business."

This means that each product/service or "offer" you sell is its own mini business, and it requires its own core messaging, sales funnel, and operation.

So, you can imagine how difficult it is to start or scale up two or three products/services simultaneously. It's like trying to grow two or three complex businesses at a time. This is only possible with a large budget and well-established and managed team that has already validated its first core offer, messaging, sales funnel, and operation.

For social impact startups, constraining to just one offer, your core messaging, and 1-2 sales funnels are critical. This will require that you let many things fall away that you would like to have in place (like a podcast, a social media presence, or "thought leadership.)

It requires decision-making and constraining even when it's hard.

Simplicity has another strategic effect. It calms your nervous system, which sharpens your problem-solving abilities. By streamlining your focus, your brain will naturally be better at evaluating and taking action to hone your messaging and sales funnels.

Your founder brain truly works more effectively when it's leaning toward simplicity. Remember, when in doubt, simplify. Simple is not just better—it's strategic.

Tune into the full episode for more insights into using the power of simplicity inside your sustainable business.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    > Why too many KPI’s is the death of your business

    > Why narrowing down to a signature offer and 1-2 sales funnels will grow your company

    > The neuroscience behind simplicity and why it’s so powerful for your brain

Decision-Making: How to Navigate Your Business Well

Decision-Making: How to Navigate Your Business Well

Improving decision-making will help you cut your to-do list in half while increasing your income as a purpose-driven entrepreneur.

Unfortunately, accelerator programs and the entrepreneurial ecosystem are not teaching founders this fundamental CEO Skill Set. That's why we help founders form solid decision-making skills here at The Do Business Better School.

Remember, your business is essentially a series of choices. And indecision is the death of your business.

If you're seeking a different outcome in your business, the best next step is to decide on, commit to, plan, and follow through on your new course of action.

In this episode, I discuss the three decision-making steps and how to filter unnecessary decisions from necessary ones.

Founders often spend a lot of time contemplating the right way to do something when it's actually unnecessary to reach their goal. Worse, this distracts them from the true needle movers.

If you are a purpose-driven founder and you find yourself in any of these scenarios, this is a must-listen.

In your head, thinking about the best way to do something

Second-guessing your niche, messaging, marketing, model or anything else

Getting frustrated in your business trying to get things working.

This episode is also beneficial if you have a big goal to scale up your income because making intelligent decisions will be a part of that process.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    > The 3 steps of decision-making

    > How to filter unnecessary decisions from necessary ones

    > How to make confident, simple, and more strategic decisions

The Death of the Long- Line Philosophy: Linear Versus Cyclical Thinking

The Death of the Long- Line Philosophy: Linear Versus Cyclical Thinking

In the fast-paced world of entrepreneurship, how you approach problem-solving and strategizing as a founder is everything.

The problem is that most humans are wired to think linearly.

Linear thinking is the death of your business.

Linear thinking focuses on where you are now, the gap between, and the end result you want. The mental gap, creates a chain reaction in your brain, making you less effective at reaching the goal.

The gap also makes you stressed.

Embracing a cyclical mindset empowers you to see your founder's journey as a perpetual process of growth. There's no endpoint labeled 'more successful' or 'happier'. You're constantly learning, evolving, and overcoming non-threatening obstacles. This perspective not only brings a sense of calm but also propels you forward, accelerating your progress.

Cyclical thinking calms you down, but it doesn't slow you down. It actually speeds you up. Because you stop focusing on putting out fires, getting frustrated at challenges, and overworking to reach your goal.

You develop the capacity to ride the emotional waves, stay patient, evaluate objectively, and test and tweak repeatedly.

In this episode, I will introduce you to The Entrepreneurial Cycle Tool, which I've developed for the founders I work with at The Do Business Better School.

By following the 4 steps of the Entre-Cycle, founders gain a clear focus on what to prioritize and when. They achieve goals faster and with less stress.

This episode is full of foundational founder topics you might have heard before (like the Lean StartUp Methodology and others) but teaches them in a fresh way that will help you audit yourself as a founder and CEO and pave the way for sustainable business growth and personal well-being.

Dive in with me if you are ready to become a more effective purpose-driven founder and CEO with the income, impact, personal life and wellbeing you desire.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    > The difference between linear and cyclical thinking for founders

    > The symptoms of getting caught in a linear mindset

    > How to form a cyclical mindset

    > The 4-steps of The Do Business Better School’s Entrepreneurial Cycle

    The Strategy Versus Mindset Dilemma

    The Strategy Versus Mindset Dilemma

In today's fast-paced entrepreneurial landscape, "strategy" and "mindset" often mean two distinct approaches. You are either focused on actionable tactics OR ethereal thoughts and feelings. However, this is an ineffective way to approach business, sports, and life!

Here's the thing: what you think and feel profoundly impacts your actions.

So, how you think and feel will have effects when you:

    > make decisions about your strategies

    > set an action plan

    > implement

    > evaluate

This is why you cannot separate mindset from strategy. Your mindset always has effects, even if you are unaware.

Tune into this episode to learn how to blend strategy and mindset so you get better results in your business.

I'll also explain more about the type of mindset we teach at The Do Business Better School, which is not based on manifestation, Eastern religious concepts, or other woo-woo practices. Instead, we teach neuroscience mindset tools that are accessible to everyone.

    In this episode, you'll learn:

    > How accelerators and incubators teach strategy and mindset, and why this is hurting your results

    > How your mindset affects your strategy and vice versa

    > Why I don't teach manifestation

    > An introduction to neuroscience mindset tools

    Welcome to Business Brain Rewire

    Welcome to Business Brain Rewire

    Welcome to Business Brain Rewire!

I'm your host, Kari Elizabeth Enge, the founder and CEO of The Do Business Better School. I'm so excited to go on this podcasting journey with you.

Business Brain Rewire is the go-to resource for purpose-driven founders and social-impact startups who want to scale up income and impact without sacrificing their personal lives or well-being.

After working with hundreds of purpose-driven entrepreneurs 1-on-1 and in group accelerators worldwide, I've seen what separates businesses with sustainable success from those who struggle to grow: the founder.

Your business = your brain, and your success depends on how well you, the founder and CEO, utilize it.

It doesn't matter how innovative or well-formulated your ideas are; if you lack the right mindsets, skill sets, and internal practices, you'll struggle and spin your wheels instead of scaling your impact simply and sustainably.

I've designed this podcast to cut through the clutter of online gurus and traditional entrepreneurial education, which is either swimming in "woo-woo land" or bogged down in academic theory.

Instead, I will teach you, the founder, how to build a sustainable, successful business using your brain at the highest level.

I don't know about you, but as a purpose-driven founder and CEO, I've struggled to find a teacher, coach, community, and platform that genuinely aligns with me. The concepts are too woo-woo or geared toward only manifestation practices and Eastern religion. Or, they are super patriarchal and full of tips and tricks and performance enhancement hacks.

When you try to find something less bro-marketer-ish, all you're left with is the "Boss Babes Club." And quite frankly, this makes me want to vomit.

You don't have to be a babe if you are a female entrepreneur. And you don't have to be biohacking and "going BIG" if you are a male founder, either. You also don't have to get business advice from traditional profit-only-minded teachers if you are a sustainable founder.

You are probably like me: You are smart, educated in your field, and want to grow a large business that's making the world a better place. Your company is your passion and life's work! And you want to show up to it as the strongest CEO you can be to scale it up. But you want to avoid buying into the tired notion that you can't be a present, intentional parent, partner, and friend because you are too busy building an empire.

I've dedicated my life to helping founders beautifully blend purpose, profits, and personal life while helping them grow companies that are financially sustainable and set up to scale in a non-stressful way.

I'm here to teach you exactly how to do that.

Each week, come here to learn neuroscience-backed coaching tools to help you think, feel, and do like a CEO. This will allow you to step into your CEO's shoes, reach your income and impact goals faster, and lower stress.

You'll hear a lot from me as the show's primary host, coach, and teacher.

I will also invite guests on the show so you can learn how other intelligent, intentional, successful CEOs think, feel, and do.

Expect topics on entrepreneurial psychology, ethical sales and marketing, messaging, productivity, and more.

There will be several mini-series within this show that I can't wait to unveil with you soon.

The first one will be a series called Women Do Business Better, where I'll be highlighting successful female founders of social impact and sustainable businesses. But don't expect the typical highlight reel format where you leave feeling like, "MAN, she's got it all together and I suck…"

These conversations will expand your belief of what's possible and show you the human br...

How We Are Doing Business Better

How We Are Doing Business Better

    We have big news!

Our values and focus has not changed, but we are going bigger, bolder and DOING BUSINESS BETTER with a new brand name and positioning!

Testing, Evaluating and Tweaking (what I call TET) should be a regular part of your founder and CEO routine. Daily mindset work should also be.

Consistently doing these two practices has slowly expanded the vision for my coaching practice.

*I’m no longer bound by the lie that a bigger business means more stress on my personal life either (this is only true if you don’t have CEO mindsets and skillsets).

I’ve been testing and tweaking several things that have been in my mind and heart as CEO. After months and months of quiet, consistent and intentional testing... the direction became crystal clear.

Often founders get stuck in a lot of procrastination, confusion, complexity and drama about big directional changes. But only because they haven’t grounded themselves with the right CEO Practices first.

They are in a rush. They want clarity now. 🔍

They don’t want to do the hard, consistent work of letting the answers appear through mindset work and testing with real data.

The way you arrive at your answers always end up showing up in your results later. So commit to following a strategic process.

    Your business = your brain

And your business is only as strong as you are as the founder.

So join me in this episode to learn all about the behind-the-scenes of our rebrand, and our plans to scale in the future.

This is a great episode if you are a purpose-driven founder or social impact startup and you want a behind-the-scenes look at how to approach a direction-change, pivot, rebrand or scale plan.
