Old Time Story Time: Anno Domini 2000 Prologue
Old Time Story Time brings you a public domain New Zealand book one chapter at a time.

CW for ableist language, a few instances of violence (brief and fairly non-graphic), and a poorly conceived comparison of poverty and slavery. -
Deep Read: The Whale Rider
The film based on Witi Ihimaera's 1987 novel The Whale Rider was a huge international success. But what does reading the novel offer that the film doesn't? Join Claire Lacey on a meander through The Whale Rider via family, humour, ecology, and language.
