So good

I love listening to their deconstruction of cases we hear about in the news but get very little real information about. I do feel that their insistence upon not using perpetrators’ names can be very distracting at times though, as I finds myself frantically googling to see who they are referring to. Would it really be so bad to just say Marilyn Manson’s name? Is he any less famous now for having skirted around it? And also sometimes I have to skip episodes that were inspired by tv shows I haven’t seen, because they assume I have seen them so they don’t give enough information about the case. For example, I recently tried listening to their episodes about “Bad Vegan.” I didn’t know what they were talking about so I tried watching the show and found it unwatchable. It was just really really dull. So I was not able to listen to those episodes because I was completely lost.
Even so, I love this podcast. It has changed the way I look at a lot of cases and perpetrators, and forced me out of my comfortable information vacuum, in a way I appreciate. It has also changed the way I look at the world.

Happy 4th!!

I had a fantastic July 4th, Laura, and thanks for asking!

Save yourself the time and find a different podcast.

I want to like this show but I can’t. After Laura’s insulting comments about America having nothing to celebrate this past 4th of July and her doomsday perspective on abortion. Tired of the misleading comments regarding current day events in a podcast where I’m looking to escape all of that. If you support abortion up to and including birth as they do in your beloved California, then you don’t respect victims, unique dna, and hearts beating. Irritates me that I listen to true crime to escape the never ending list of dividing factors constantly thrown on society and I still have to hear it. Won’t do it anymore. Save yourself the time and find a different podcast.
