Have you ever wanted to dive deeper into some of the more difficult topics of faith? Have you tried asking some of the bigger questions and have struggled to find understanding? We invite you to listen in as we unpack some of these topics and questions. We may not have all the answers, but we are committed to ongoing conversations as we search out God's Word together.
With all of the busyness of this season we haven't been able to put any new podcasts up. But good news! We'll be able to pick back up after Easter with new topics, new conversations, and new episodes.
See you soon!
Parenting in a Pandemic Part 1
Join us as we begin a new topic this week: Parenting in a Pandemic! In this season, parents from all sorts of different contexts have found themselves asking about parenting, children, and all things in between. What are some issues with parenting in the midst of a pandemic? What are some of the struggles? How do we know if we're doing a good job?
In the coming weeks we will be addressing these concerns as we have a very real conversation about Parenting in a Pandemic!
Racism Part 4: Roundtable
This week we have a great opportunity to sit down and have a discussion with several church leaders on the topic of Racism. We are joined by Pastor David Ndembe, Pastor Jameson Wheeler, and Jared Gregory who each provide great insight and conversation as it pertains to racism in our culture today.
As always, let us know your thoughts on today's episode!
Racism Part 3: Initiating Dialogue
February is Black History Month so we thought that it'd be the perfect time to process how we can begin initiating tough dialogue to work through discussions that may be difficult to approach for some people. As always, let us know what you think!
Racism Part 2: Racism and Culture
Last week we began our discussion on racism by starting off with a foundational question: what is racism? We're continuing this week looking at how culture speaks to our worldview. As we follow the Lord, we come to understand that what we learn culturally ought to yield to God's truth - but culture holds strong over much of our lives.
How do we move past cultural ties as we follow the Lord? How do I recognize when these cultural perspectives are out of alignment with the Lord? Join us this week as we discuss it!
Racism Part 1: What is Racism?
This week we're beginning a new series focused on racism. Racism is a sin. As we look at the cultural context we find ourselves in, it isn't difficult to see that this is an issue that impacts everyone. So what should the Church do about it?
We begin our series by looking at what racism is and where it comes from; join us as we explore this vitally important topic.
Good at getting to the root of it all!
I enjoyed this podcast because you do not base it off your own opinions but you search the scriptures for wisdom and understanding in regards to this topic. I believe it is important for people not to seek opinions of others first but to seek scripture! When we truly start to read and study the Bible it will read us and reveal our hearts and show us truth. My only recommendation is to actually read the text throughout the podcast to give it more weight. Thank you!
