Psychotherapy and Health & Wellness Educator and singer-songwriter, Leah Driscoll shares the life lessons learned from being a musician, working in the music industry, and developing health and wellness programming.

Bio: Leah Driscoll is a licensed clinical social worker, health and wellness educator, trainer, and public speaker. She also spent a decade working as a professional musician. Leah’s areas of expertise are in the impact of bias and discrimination on mental health as well as the specific mental and emotional health stressors of performing artists. She established the Office of Student Wellness Promotion and Services at Berklee College of Music and Boston Conservatory at Berklee. While at Berklee, she developed and oversaw a donor-funded program called the Reach Out Initiative which aims to increase education and outreach to students on the topics of mental health, substance use disorders, and gender-based discrimination and bias. Leah started a visiting artist series where she invited professional musicians to talk openly and candidly about how those issues impacted their professional and personal lives, with the goal of facilitating a dialogue to decrease stigma. Leah has interviewed Todrick Hall, Darryl “DMC” McDaniels, Big Freedia, Kelly Price, Amanda Palmer, Mary Lambert, and Rocco Prestia. Leah currently works as a psychotherapist and consultant in the Boston area.
