Stephanie Moss is (as of 2022) a 3rd year Latina medical student studying at Rush University in Chicago. I met Stephanie in 2017 as her wedding photographer, right after she and her husband graduated from their undergrad.
Since then I've been following her journey through medical school, including her many ups and downs- being diagnosed with endometriosis, sharing her struggles with anxiety, and even the difficult decision last summer to take a year off from her studies. She is a shining example of what resilience looks like, and of someone who is finds the courage to embrace who they really are despite the fears of not being good enough.
She's an inspiration for anyone, but especially has found her place as an advocate inspiring others from other aspiring medical students, especially from diverse backgrounds that haven't had an example of how to find their way through the process, and among communities that are under represented and in low income areas.
