Recovery Elevator
It isn't a NO to alcohol, but a YES to a better life! Best selling author Paul Churchill, along with Kristopher Oyen interview people who have stepped away from alcohol in their own lives. Each week this podcast does a deep dive into an exploration of what a booze free life might look like from various perspectives and opinions. If you are sick and tired of alcohol making you sick and tired, we invite you to listen to Recovery Elevator. Check out what an alcohol free life can look like as others share their own stories of sobriety. If you are sober curious, newly sober, supporting a loved one or living your best life already in recovery, then you are in the right place. This podcast addresses what to do if you’re addicted to alcohol, or if you think you’re an alcoholic. Other topics include, does moderate drinking work, does addiction serve a purpose, what happens to the brain when we quit drinking, should you track sobriety time, is A.A. right for you, spirituality, and more. Similar to other recovery podcasts like This Naked Mind, the Shair Podcast, and the Recovered Podcast, Paul and Kris discuss a topic and then interview someone who has ditched the booze.

Compelling stories of the brave, resilient, extraordinary people who are battling (and winning!) the shockingly sneaky world of alcohol. I am so grateful for the RE team for putting together a resource that speaks to me in a new and inspiring way every week. I listened for months before deciding I was ready to quit. The stories helped me realize I was not alone, and I was not that unusual - alcohol is ruining so many lives - and I am fortunate to have the RE podcast by my side to make sure it does not ruin mine.
Keep listening; this podcast is life changing

I have been a listener since October 2023 and I just celebrated one year alcohol free!!! I did not have a rock-bottom or have a terrible life because of alcohol, but I witnessed it’s effects dragging me down and I was done with that lifestyle. Paul and Chris and every single guest sharing their story have offered me an opportunity to reflect and get on a path that is more fulfilling than I ever imagined. Thank you for offering this podcast and this community to the world. You seriously change lives everyday with your catalogue of work and ever expanding sobriety opportunities. Thank you with my whole heart.
Don’t quit quitting!

The first sober podcast I ever listened to when my sobriety journey started and it’s STILL front and center after 3 years and over 500 days sober. The Recovery Elevator podcast tapped into something I didn’t know I needed...connection! Who knew there were other people out there suffering like me? If you’re sober curious and want to dip your toe in the pool of sobriety, this is your home. If you’re a hardened old timer who’s been sober since the Reagan administration and you re looking for community, you’ve also found a home. We took the elevator down, now we gotta take the stairs back up!

I stumbled upon the RE podcast several years ago when I was feeling dark and hopeless. I was hooked within the first few minutes of listening. Hearing other people's stories and realizing that I was not alone in this struggle gave me hope. This podcast was the jumping off point for my recovery journey. I have learned so much from the hosts and the guests over the years. Anytime I am having a hard moment I can play an episode and immediately feel at ease. Each one starts with an intro that is always so thoughtful and enlightening. The RE podcast makes me laugh, cry, and just feel understood. I am so grateful for this podcast and the wonderful people who make it happen every week. And the music is fantastic!
