Today's passage teaches about one of the most important messages for the Church today - unity within the Church. It isn't optional for us. It is at the very heart of the Christian life.

In today's passage, Paul is in prison, and he is caught up in a legal battle. A lawyer is going to put forward a case against him, Paul is going to respond, and then he's going to sit in a cell for two years.

John was the only gospel writer to include the story of Thomas refusing to believe the resurrection. Not only did he include it, but he has positioned it to function as the CLIMAX of his Gospel. John saw something powerful here. What do we learn from the story of doubting Thomas--

Today's text says that Jesus endured the cross -FOR the joy that was set before him.- This raises an important question. What is this -joy- that was set before Jesus--

On this Palm Sunday, we are going to read past the familiar story that describes the King's arrival and read onto a less familiar story that describes the King's heart.

In today's passage, the Apostle Paul is standing before the Roman tribune and the Jewish council. Paul starts this hearing by claiming that he is more concerned about how God would judge him than the Jewish council or even the Romans would, and in doing so, he says that his conscience is clean. The question for ourselves is- Are we more concerned with the way we are seen by God or the crowd we find ourselves surrounded by--
