A New Rothbardian Wrinkle: Redneck Riviera Episode 8

A New Rothbardian Wrinkle: Redneck Riviera Episode 8

Tho teases out a bit of Rare Rothbard lore - his 1994 essay "The Franciscan Way" and what it has to teach Paleoconservatives and Paleolibertarians in the current purity spiraling maelstrom. Tho reminds Ford that he has been part of the local Republican Party for a year, and they discuss the lessons Ford has learned from a year observing local politics up close. Ford rants a bit about bad drivers, Mildred the PermaSub, and how his teeth have turned against him.

The Rothbardian Button: The Redneck Riviera Episode 7

The Rothbardian Button: The Redneck Riviera Episode 7

Tho and Ford discuss the Rittenhouse ruling, the Desantis Victory over Disney, and dive into an examination of cultural idiosyncrasies that neither find ideal (like Porn, Mega-Churches and Massage Parlors), and how the quest for a Rothbardian button to shift to a timeline in which these idiosyncrasies don't exist is a wish fulfilment dream distracting us from the more mundane tasks at hand: fair trials, local politics, and imprecatory prayers.

Tho and Ford discuss the election results in Virginia, and Tho talks about some interesting connections made while reading Harry L. Watson's Liberty and Power. Ford quotes a few moments from a recent Peter Thiel talk at the Lincoln Network's event in Miami (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDB1CsfUjys), and from Sam Jacobs' appearance on Pete Quinones' Podcast (https://libertarianinstitute.org/freemanbeyondthewall/649/), in his continued quest to figure out how to balance individualism and a thriving society, and what role religion plays in this tightwire act.

Pharmaceutical Tyranny & Anarcho-Orthodoxy: Redneck Riviera Episode 4

Tho and Ford are back after being inspired by Renegade University, The Tom Woods Show Episode 2000, and the release of Patrick Newman's new book Cronyism. Ford reads some thoughts about an Anarcho-Orthodox approach to the problem of human evil, and Tho presents a resolution that the Bay County Republican Party passed in order to encourage local politicians to stand against pharmaceutical tyranny.

Excellent

Great job Tho. From neighboring Washington County.

Marshal Forward ,

Great political and philosophical insight with Floridian flare.

What makes this podcast unique and no pun intended a breath of fresh air compared to other podcasts is that it is recorded on the sandy beaches of Florida compared to some soundproof studio flat. It just makes the conversation between Ford and Tho feel more genuine and just real when you hear the waves of the ocean or the seagulls squawking overhead.

The Beach is a character.

I love the beach in the background and being able to hear people who pass by. Love the show and keep Florida, Florida.
