Kevin F. founder of “Psychedelics in Recovery” a12 step fellowship group utilizing psychedelics as a recovery integration tool.

Joe and Amy talk with Kevin F., who got clean from heroin 11 years ago by taking ibogaine. After a few years in traditional 12 step groups, feeling alienated by his ibogaine experience and continued interest in psychedelics, he formed “Psychedelics in Recovery”, a growing 12 step fellowship composed of people utilizing psychedelics as a recovery integration tool.  We ask him if psychedelics and 12 step really can co-exist, what his group considers “sobriety” and why people gloss over Bill Wilson’s own use of psychedelics. Love this Podcast!

Thank you for bringing us informed sobriety.. I look forward to listening to you both and the guests are always excellent. I’m 12step but objective and agree with so much of what you say. It’s what got me sober but it’s definitely not the only way...Have you ever had Brene’ Brown for the alcoholic of the day? She’s alive..a woman.. and more of a academic than a celebrity..not sure how she’s received. I think she has like 25+ years. Love you guys keep up the fight and thanks for looking out for people who really need help.

Best recovery news podcast!

Have been listening since the beginning and always enjoy the guest speakers. Very informative and honest about current issues surrounding addiction/recovery community. As someone that's dealt with alcoholism firsthand, I really appreciate the various perspectives/points brought up aside from the usual AA talking points which I also have found beneficial to my recovery. Definitely recommend!

I love Amy and Joe

Joe and Amy make me laugh. The subject matter can be difficult but it’s important to have a sense of humor in recovery.
