The Reign After Show recaps, reviews and discusses episodes of The CW's Reign.

Show Summary: Queen of Scotland Mary Stuart travels to France with four ladies-in-waiting to secure her politically strategic engagement to the king's son, Prince Francis. Mary and Francis share a mutual attraction, even though he has reservations about the wisdom of an alliance with Scotland. Complicating issues is Bash, Francis' illegitimate half-brother whom Mary finds herself drawn to in spite of herself. The French Court is also full of less romantic challenges for Mary, who finds her engagement — and life — threatened until she finds an ally in a mysterious shrouded guide. With all that she faces, Mary rallies, readying herself to rule and trying to find a balance between the demands of her country and those of her heart.

Always fun to hear their views

I recently discovered this show and this podcast. I'm enjoying it no matter who is or isn't hosting. The only thing that is annoying is the butchering of the reading of the castle corner descriptions and the names/places. PLEASE practice these a bit before recording. Otherwise, if you love the show, you'll love this podcast! Here's to many more years!!

Disappointed: Uneducated, Unprepared, Ignorant

I feel the staff does not care about important things on this show. Even if it were another show, its obvious they did very little to research/review the show itself but be knowledgeable of the show itself and the period of this show. For example, there was discussion of Mary's miscarriage. One person, female, on the podcast questioned why there were so many miscarriages during this time. During the same podcast another person, male, made an insensitive comment about the fact that one character, Greer's husband, had 6 children making a comment that it was a high number when it was common during that time and also important to procreate, esp in a noble family because of the high mortality rates. As to why many women/mothers miscarried, there were many reasons, one being that many women were actually still children. Some were married and already procreating at age 12. Imagine being pregnant year after year between 12-17. Another thing that was bothersome was the lack of articulation, everything was like like like and basically. Every topic seemed to have comments that were so ignorant. Did these individuals even learn history in school or remember it? Could they have done some catching up. I learned this in high school 30 yrs ago and still remember most of it so its just hurtful and disgusting to hear a group of individuals talk as if this is just another teen show and even if it is, do your homework and dont sound like this job isn’t important.
