My mom was actually a nurse and I grew up around surgery centers and hospitals. I had no idea nurses could even work remotely - and if they could when I was younger, I'm sure my mom would've hopped on that opportunity with no questions asked.
So, I just had to sit down with Emma of NurseFern to give us all the remote nursing deets, including how to set yourself up to land a remote nursing role, side hustles for nurses, and more!
Emma is the founder/CEO of Nurse Fern. Nurse Fern is an online career site and community helping bedside nurses transition into remote nursing roles. Emma started her nursing career in critical care and then moved to the ER. After transitioning into a non-bedside nursing role and eventually going remote, she now helps other nurses do the same.

We also talk about side hustles, passive income, & the weird ways our career journeys flow into something we never thought would happen. My favorite part of this interview though is when she gives us some juicy golden nuggets of insider information about how other teachers can pivot to remote roles that suit them, using the same tools they already use and transferable skills they already have. So, don’t go out and start hoarding all the certifications thinking that’s what you need to pivot because you’re already enough!
