    Special Guest: Natasha Perez

Natasha is an American actress, singer, comedienne and writer who made her American cinematic debut in 2006 in M. Night Shyamalan’s movie Lady in the Water. She is known for playing the role of Matilda on the HBO show Curb Your Enthusiasm opposing Larry David and now for playing the iconic role of Yolanda Saldivar on the Netflix show Selena, the Series.

She has scored plays like Damien Calderon’s Huellas for the Frida Kahlo Theatre and co-created over dozens of jingles for commercials. For the past couple of years, Perez has been exploring a new sound – a mix of comedic indie, jazz- autochthonous textures and pop. Special Guest: Rebecca Metz

    Special Guest: Rebecca Metz

Rebecca Metz has a recurring role as Tressa, Sam’s (Pamela Adlon) close friend and talent manager on the critically acclaimed, award-winning FX series BETTER THINGS now in its third season. This busy actress also stars on the popular Disney Channel show COOP & CAMI ASK THE WORLD. The bubbly redhead plays Jenna Wrather, the widowed mom of Coop and Cami and the only adult in the regular cast.
A graduate of the prestigious Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, Metz has made her mark on television in memorable guest roles. She has guest starred on NIP TUCK, WEEDS, MARON, THIS IS US, GREY’S ANATOMY, FOR THE PEOPLE, BONES, MAJOR CRIMES, THE MENTALIST, BOSTON LEGAL, JUSTIFIED, SOUTHLAND, CALIFORNICATION, THE MINDY PROJECT, THE THUNDERMAN’S and in recurring roles on LOPEZ and SHAMELESS. Earlier in her career Metz garnered small roles on THE KING OF QUEENS, GILMORE GIRLS, ER and SCRUBS.
A proud Jersey girl born and raised in Bruce Springsteen’s hometown of Freehold, NJ, Metz was drawn to acting from an early age. Her parents, both classically trained singers, inspired her to follow a creative path, as did a favorite childhood TV show. “I honestly think the impetus for wanting to be an actor came from watching The Muppet Show,” she says with a laugh, “and from the backstage scenes, where it’s all chaos and crisis and everyone tries to keep from showing it onstage. I thought that looked really fun.”
In addition to her frequent television and commercial work, Metz has appeared in numerous independent and short films as well as the upcoming Disney feature film MAGIC CAMP. She is also a voiceover and stage actor whose theater credits include Sheila Callaghan’s KATE CRACKERNUTS (24th Street Theatre) and Burglars of Hamm’s award-winning musical, THE BEHAVIOR OF BROADUS (Sacred Fools).
There is no question that Rebecca Metz is all about the small screen. “Television is going to places it’s never been before”, she declares. “And I get to be a part of that. Every time I go to work, or even go to an audition that is in the front of my mind. I feel very fortunate to be here for it.”

Oh, they know something :-)

“Two guys who have an opinion on everything” — is absolutely right. Nick & Russ is a “sort of” guilty pleasure podcast I listen to when I’m cooking or watering the garden. Yes, I’m middle-aged just like they are and garden. Plus, I like how unpolished, unscripted and delightfully colorful they are. What I like about their episodes is the scatterbrain of thoughts that somewhat follow a show outline. Each episodes title lures you in (if interested) and then the show drunkenly weaves in and out of show topic. All and all, entertaining. I like listening to how deep Nick goes into a topic as well as listening to how deep Russ goes into the same topic. Both efforts veer down interesting paths from their unique perspective where I’ve often said, “didn’t think of it that way before.” Their storied “bro-mance” together, beginning at a food addicts anonymous group meeting in Texas, finds them able to connect fluidly and often times agree with the varied view points discussed. Russ stays very up-to-date with Texas politics which I very much appreciate. Nick stays very up-to-date with the federal tax code being an highly skilled accountant. One of my favorite episodes of theirs was when they had on the voice actor who voiced a lot of 80’s cartoons. I forget his name but he voiced Shipwreck from G.I. Joe. Let’s just say, they are only getting better with age. I’m looking forward to their upcoming pre-recorded Best Film Oscar Winner series of episodes highlighting the Best Film Oscar category and the year in which it won with facts and commentary. Keep up the great work, Nick & Russ.
